中文摘要:本研究計畫提出兩種具有帶通特性與超寬頻共模抑制能力之小型化平衡式跨接耦合器設計。每一種架構都由四個環形共振腔所組成。架構I使用四對耦合線作為饋入線,並且直接接到共振腔。架構II的每個環形共振腔兩邊各和一個對應的單端埠耦合,另兩邊則和相鄰共振腔耦合。運用奇偶模分析可以推導出各特徵模態的Y參數解析式,據此可以計算出混模S參數。利用混模S參數解析式,本文也進行兩種架構的設計參數分析。為了驗證,每一種架構的跨接耦合器均已實作在RO4003C基板上,操作頻率為2.45 GHz。實驗結果顯示,從1 GHz到4 GHz兩種架構的跨模與共模隔離度均在19.5 dB以上,頻寬超過100%。和文獻上無帶通特性的平衡式跨接耦合器比較,此計畫所提出的電路具有較好的頻率選擇性和超寬頻的隔離度,而架構II也有較小的電路尺寸。和最近發表的平衡式具帶通特性的跨接耦合器比較,本計畫所提出的電路有較低的通帶植入損耗以及較佳的3-dB植入損耗頻寬。
英文摘要:This project proposes two designs of miniaturized balanced-to-balanced crossovers with bandpass response and ultra-wideband common-mode rejection. Both types consist of four ring resonators. The type-I crossover uses four pairs of coupled lines as feedlines which are directed attached to the ring resonators. In type-II crossover, two sides of each ring resonator are coupled to corresponding single-ended ports and the other two sides are coupled to adjacent resonators. Applying the even-odd mode analysis, Y-parameters of each eigen-mode are analytically derived. The mixed-mode S parameters can then be calculated from the derived Y-parameters. Parameters analysis are also conducted for both types with the analytic mixed-mode S-parameters. For validation, each type of 2.45-GHz crossover has been fabricated on RO4003C substrate. For both circuits, the measured cross-mode and common-mode isolation is larger than 19.5 dB between 1 – 4 GHz and have a bandwidth greater than 100%. Compared with prior balanced-to-balanced crossovers without bandpass characteristics, this work has better frequency selectivity and ultra-wide bandwidth of isolation. Type-II circuit also has a smaller size. Compared with the recently published balanced-to-balanced bandpass crossover, two circuits have less in-band differential-mode insertion loss and a better 3-dB bandwidth of differential-mode insertion loss.
